Out first day printing Loose clothing.
We went the night before so we could expose our screens this went down without a hitch and ready for printing.
I was excited to start this and had this idea in my head that we would have perfect prints on loads of t-shirts. i think this is because my printing knowledge is limited and i thought the carrousel at factory 4 is gods gift to screen printing.
This did not happen at all.
There are so many factors that can hinder how your prints turn out. every step needs to be executed perfectly to minimis the chance of a miss print.
Putting to much pressure on screen
uneven pulls
ueven when flooding screen
To many pulls the image bled
uneven pressure and not enough ink
Despite us having these issues we still came away with a good amounts of t-shirts which printed well and we were happy with. When we got back and started to iron the designs so the ink would set on the t-shirt we found many more mistakes which weren't a result of the print.
The main killer was the prints been off centre. Massive blow to us we had so many which are just not central enough to sell. When the t-shirt is on the carousal it looks fine but i think we were rushing and didn't notice it happening.
In saying this its only a mistake you make once in a printing carrier i don't think i will ever let that happen again its just silly.
Another issue we found was ink marks from dirty hands. Not massive marks but they do ruin t-shirts. Again this is a rookie mistake and im not going to let this happen form now on.
