I first wrote down all the word that i could think of which are associated with coffee. This gave me a better view of what sort of things i need to incude on my packaging and how i need to present it.
This is my first drawing i already had this idea of interchangeable tickets with the coffee information on which you could apply to say a container you have at home so you know what you are drinking and can easily request the same coffee if they like it.
I had this idea for a while as someone who buys filter coffee i like to try different brands and flavours within these brands. Once opened it is put into a container and the packaging is thrown away. i have had coffees i really like but would like to have a reference for when i next go to the shop or i want to know the strength of the coffee im drinking so i can put the correct servings of coffee in the filter.
There isn't anything like this in shops at the moment and think it would be a very successful idea if executed well enough. I Plan to make a container for home use so you are able to attach your coffee ticket somewhere after you throw away the packaging
This is my first idea for the packaging where by i use wood to make a box and have an acrylic top so you can see the coffee throughout the top. it uses a sliding method so easy to make and easy to use. I would laser cut or screen print the top of the acrylic so making it related to the brand.
My next packaging idea was to house 2 small bags of coffee in a pop up container which you could carry easily if you bought anything from the shop.
I then also explored bags that the cafe could use to house products after people had bought coffee. i want to make it feel authentic and add to the experience of buying coffee from art's.
So i looked into hessian material which you resemble with the big sacks of coffee beans and is often used as imagery in coffee shops around the world. so is a recognisable reference.
