We chose a mount board to create the packaging. It is a really heavy stock and we aren't sure how it would fold but we are looking for consistency so we felt a heavy stock would work better with the book.
Max and I scored the edges where we were going to make the folds.
As you can see here the scoring didn't work to well when the board was folded it became flimsy and fell appart. We attempted to save it using masking tape.
Well here is what we ended up with, everything fell apart.
We talked about how we were going to make this work and after an in-depth dissuasion we came up with the following plan.
Remove the flaps as they are to think and make the inside of the packaging even smaller.
We then Decided to remove to as much unnecessary areas of the packaging. This ment creating sleeve type box.
Everything would be held in-place by coloured card which wraps around the sleeve.
We also reduced the hight very slightly from 13mm to 7mm. This would allow no movement of the coasters and remain a good size to still work with the thick stock.
