Loose Brief Self Evlauation

The Loose brief has helped my design and business knowledge vastly. The main skill I have developed would be screen-printing. I have done it before but never really produced all my work through it. It thought me that every stage in the process needs to go right or you just end up wasting time and money. Other skills I have developed is management and organization skills. I have had to buy and organize a great deal of stock and document spending as well as talking to photographers, printers, manufacturers and also other established clothing companies. This has helped massively with my communication skills and been able to articulate my problems effectively to others.

As I was saying before I have learnt form my mistakes in screen printing and when it comes to printing t-shirts I think I know my stuff and would like to push my skills and maybe to 2 colour prints in the future.
Seen as thought I was the client as well as the designer I found I had to crit my work much more personally as if I’m not happy with something the client isn’t happy with it. I made a big decision late on in the brief, which was a bit of a risk, but it did pay off in the end.

My illustrative type skills defiantly improved which in hand will strengthen my logo design. My strength were the branding and logo design of the brief. Another strength was time management and making sure I didn’t let this brief get away from me I was constantly at it until my part was finished.
I will take away my management skills mostly as already a huge improvement compared to last year I hope to keep this up from now on.

The weaknesses of the brief was evaluating my work in a proper format and writing up the briefs. I just can’t seem to motivate myself enough to get this part done I would much rather wait to be told what to do.
